Explained on 26 October 2026. This is an educational answer drawn from the dated article below; examples are hypothetical unless a specific source observation is identified.
How it works
Read the annual review’s units and scope before forming a market conclusion. The amount raised, number of issues and performance of securities answer separate questions. Neither a large financing total nor its growth rate establishes the valuation or expected return of a particular company or fund.
A simple example
SEBI’s FY2025–26 review reports about ₹2.3 lakh crore of equity raised, up 11.7% on its stated basis. The 11.7% is growth in that financing measure; it is not the period’s stock-index return or a promise for the next year.
What to check
- Identify the economic measure and fiscal period.
- Keep financing totals separate from investor performance.
- Use security-level evidence for a specific investment case.
