Explained on 26 October 2026. This is an educational answer drawn from the dated article below; examples are hypothetical unless a specific source observation is identified.

How it works

Hours can enable more flexibility without attracting counterparties in the same proportion. Useful measurements include executable quote availability, spreads, quantities and successful settlement. A time-window calculation should stay labelled as time rather than becoming an unsupported performance claim.

A simple example

The change from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. to 9 a.m.–5 p.m. is seven hours becoming eight. One divided by seven is approximately 14.29%. It does not establish an extra 14.29% in turnover, a lower spread or a higher investor yield.

What to check

  • Name the quantity whose percentage changed.
  • Measure depth and execution separately.
  • Avoid turning access time into a return forecast.
