How do I analyse my CAS statement from CAMS or KFintech?
Download your Consolidated Account Statement from CAMS or KFintech, open Portfolio Analysis and upload the PDF with the password you set. Every scheme, folio, unit balance, value and transaction is read on the server and shown together — free. The analysis on top starts at ₹19 for one portfolio.
Step by step
- Get your CAS. Request a detailed Consolidated Account Statement from CAMS or KFintech for the period you want. It arrives as a password-protected PDF.
- Upload it. Open Portfolio Analysis, choose the PDF and enter the password you set when you requested it.
- Check what was read. Every scheme, folio and transaction appears with its units and value exactly as printed. Anything the reader could not resolve is marked in red with the reason.
- Choose the depth. Snapshot, Deep, Complete or Workspace — see the table below.
- Keep the report. Print or save it; you can re-run the same portfolio later at no further charge.
The four levels
| Level | Price | What it answers |
|---|---|---|
| Snapshot | ₹19 | What you hold, what it is worth, how it is split |
| Deep | ₹39 | How the portfolio behaves — its own return, risk and drawdown |
| Complete | ₹49 | Look-through: the companies, the sectors, the overlap |
| Workspace | ₹99 | Rebalancing, saved reports and exports |
Moving up a level later costs the difference plus ₹5, never the full price again. A report you have bought is permanent.
Why the figures can be trusted
The extractor checks each ISIN’s check digit before it repairs a split or broken line, and the statement’s own totals are the test the parse has to pass. Amounts are never edited by the code — if something does not reconcile, it is flagged for you, not quietly adjusted.
Download the sample portfolio report (PDF) — an illustrative investor holding real funds, every figure computed by the same engine and printed by the same report page a customer gets. Not a real person, not advice.
Questions this page answers
All of these are the same question wearing different words, so they share one page rather than a thin page each.

Also asked
Is uploading my CAS statement free?
Yes. Reading the statement and showing your holdings costs nothing. Only the analysis levels on top are paid, starting at ₹19 for one portfolio.
Which CAS formats are supported?
The detailed consolidated statement from CAMS or KFintech, as a password-protected PDF. Statement layouts vary, so anything the reader cannot resolve is flagged for you rather than skipped.
What password does the CAS PDF use?
The one you chose when you requested the statement from CAMS or KFintech. Enter it at upload; the PDF is opened only to read your holdings.
Can I add funds by hand instead of uploading a CAS?
Yes. You can build a portfolio by entering funds yourself. A CAS is faster and avoids typing errors because units and cost come straight from the registrar.
Why is one of my folios shown in red?
The reader could not fully resolve it — for example an unclaimed-IDCW line printed without an ISIN. It is shown so you can decide: include it, enter the ISIN, or leave it out. The rest loads normally.
Does the CAS include my demat (NSDL/CDSL) mutual funds?
A CAMS or KFintech CAS lists units held in statement (non-demat) form. Units held in a demat account appear on your depository statement; you can add those funds by hand.
How long does the analysis take?
Reading a typical statement takes seconds to a minute on the server. The look-through and report pages take a little longer because they add up the holdings of every fund you own.
Can I upgrade from Snapshot to Complete later?
Yes. You pay the difference plus ₹5, not the full price again, and the report you already have stays.
