What does an MF Analyser mutual fund portfolio report contain, and can I see a sample?
The report is a printable A4 review of one portfolio: the summary, allocation, your cash-flow return, how the portfolio grew month by month, risk, the companies and sectors underneath, fund overlap, and gains split by holding period. Pulse adds a Master report, a 4-page Client snapshot and a Monthly changes report.
Download the sample portfolio report (PDF) — an illustrative investor holding real funds, every figure computed by the same engine and printed by the same report page a customer gets. Not a real person, not advice.
What is inside the Portfolio Analysis report
| Page | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Cover | The investor, the statement date and the total value |
| Executive summary | Growth of the portfolio month by month, key observations and a portfolio health scorecard |
| Asset allocation | Asset-class split, market-cap mix of the equity part and fund-house concentration |
| Holdings statement | Every scheme with units, value, cost and share of the portfolio |
| Performance review | Your cash-flow (XIRR) return, calendar-year returns and what drove them |
| Risk analysis | Volatility and drawdown, with a risk-versus-return map of the holdings |
| Exposure & overlap | Sector exposure, the top 10 underlying stocks and a fund-overlap matrix |
| Costs & taxation | Expense ratio by scheme, exit loads and lock-ins, and gains split by holding period — no tax is computed |
| Goals & SIP plan | The active SIP book |
| Adviser’s notes | Appears only when an adviser writes their own review and proposals — MF Analyser itself makes no recommendation |
| Notes & disclosures | Methodology, glossary and disclosures |
The growth chart is rebuilt from your statement’s own unit balances and NAV history; a month before your first transaction simply does not appear.
Any section the data cannot support honestly is left out, not filled with a guess — a portfolio without transaction history, for example, gets no growth chart.

Also asked
Is the sample report a real investor’s portfolio?
No. It is an illustrative investor holding real funds; the SIP history is hypothetical, but every figure in it is computed from real NAVs and real disclosed holdings by the same engine a customer’s report uses.
Can I download my report as a PDF?
Yes. The report opens as a print-ready A4 page; use Print → Save as PDF. Pulse reports download directly.
Can I add my own logo to the report?
Branded reports are part of the Advisor plan, for professionals sending reviews to clients under their own name.
Does the report calculate my capital gains tax?
No. It splits your gain by holding period — long-term versus short-term — so you can see the shape. Tax itself depends on rules and circumstances the report does not assume.
Can I re-run the same report later?
Yes. A bought report is permanent and can be re-run on fresh NAVs as often as you like at no further charge.
Why is a section missing from my report?
The report drops a section it cannot support honestly — for example no growth chart without dated transactions, or no look-through for a fund house whose filing is not in the store.

MF Analyser is not a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser or Research Analyst. Nothing above is advice or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Every figure is arithmetic on AMFI's published NAV and the portfolios the AMCs file. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks; read all scheme related documents carefully.
